I like this drumhead.
It's plain and simple.
Lot's of sound.
Not any damping rings has the great advantage you can tailor your sound yourself (using the usual pillow, jeans, etc. in your bass drum, or the usual tape etc. sticking on the head)

These are great affordable heads, they can withstand a lot of tension so there's lots of play with getting the sound you want, i have mine tune quite high and I hit at full velocity with 7 and 5A sticks and its always held up to the task. The coating is nice once the newness wears off.

Bought this to put on my early 70's Gretsch SSB kit as a bass drum reso head. Gives it a very nice open bass drum sound. A little bit of felt strip just tames it nicely.
