Remo Buffalo Drum 16"x3,5"

I am vegan hence I went for a Remo which I know is well respected for shamanic journeying. I didn't know there was a different in sound between the white & the black version.I had only experience the black before. The white white one is a lighter and higher sound the black one is deeper and has more base.

I wish though the handle was a little more comfortable or mad from more natural material, I help it by putting a litte piece of cloth around it

A well made and well finished drum. You can provoke a range of moods from this instrument just with the mallet provided, but the instrument encourages the use of others, both soft and hard, or my favourite, with just the hand. In brief, well done to Remo for producing a quality instrument.

I love the size and sound of this drum, it's easy and comfortable to hold and has a deeper resonance than the smaller remo drums which is great for me as I use it to lead singing circles . I also like that remo drums as they are vegan they don't wear off over time and you don't have to re-tune them all the time.

Very deep, ROARING sound, you can feel the air vibrating as you play it. Eventually I painted the surface (which is possible because of its synthetic skin).

I would say that the sound of the drum is more beautiful in reality than on the sample recording. It has very warm overtones which bring you immediately to an ecstatic state. The size is very handy and makes it comfortable to hold the drum. It is quite loud, but that doesn't disturb me. I use it in sound healing activities and jamming sessions.

These Remo drums are excellent value and perfect for all weather drumming and sounds great in group Drum circles.

This is a great drum. Ok, it's synthetic but whilst a skin drum might have richer tones it is also very sensitive to humidity. This Remo drum sounds great whatever the weather. It's well made, very rugged. I've had this drum a number of years now and use it for shamanic work and in the band, it's traveled a lot. I love it! I am also about to paint a design on the skin, another plus for a synthetic skin; the acrylic paints I'll be using adhere very well to the surface.
