Rickenbacker 360 FG

I feel like holding a piece of history with this one. It looks great and the classic tones you love on a lot of records are all there! The rick-o-sound jack allows me to connect one guitar to two amps and play in stereo. How awesome is that?
The setup is just perfect with really low action and still I can freely strum this guitar which is the way I like to go with this one, good old electric strumming!
Did I mention that it looks awesome?

This is a guitar that exudes its Vintage Heritage and whilst the 360 used to look more like the current 330 it loses nothing in it's immediate impact. For a lot of 60s and a few 70s Bands this was the weapon of choice and whilst they are not seen quite as often these days of multi-string, fanfret and other varieties of guitar it does invoke a feeling of the past especially when covering 60s and 70s music.

Can't say enough about it but a beautiful guitar beautifully made which sounds fantastic.

Caracteristicas: Se me hace un poco complicado el manejar esta guitarra con distorsion en la posicion media, que es la que mas me gusta, pero no estoy acostumbrado a jugar con dos potes de volumen/ganancia. La quinta perilla mezcla la cantidad de pastilla de mastil o puente que suena en la posicion media, muy util

Sonido: Me resulto raro que esta guitarra suene tan bien en directo con la cantidad de gente que dice que "suena a lata". Suena super plena y con mucho sustain. Con distorsiones de alta/media ganancia suena genial, un sonido muy abierto en acordes. Quizas en los solos por los trastes altos es donde mas flaquee ya que se limpia demasiado el sonido, pero se puede tocar para solos muy pasablemente.

Fabricacion: Fabricacion exquisita de arriba a abajo. Lo unico que me da mas miedo es el puente. Y que el primer puente este cubierto de forma que los palm mute no salgan tan bien.

General: Sencillamente es una Rickenbacker y probe en su dia un par de clones muy buenos y no tiene nada que ver. Si no fuera por algunas limitaciones que tiene para solos y alta ganancia no usaria otra guitarra en directos. Sin embargo Thomman se porto muy mal conmigo. Me mando una guitarra sin mirarla desde una tienda inglesa, donde costaba menos. Y venia sin la pegatina del golpeador, cosa que me hace sospechar que no era 100% nueva. Ademas no la ajustaron como me prometieron. Seguire siendo cliente de thomann pero nunca mas comprare una guitarra de este precio con ellos. Decepcion.

Verarbeitung: Beim Auspacken des Instruments fällt sofort die hervorragende Verarbeitung auf. An meinem Instrument kann ich auch bei genauerem Hinsehen keinen Markel feststellen. Ein absolutes Schmuckstück dessen optische Wirkung sich durch Fotos auf der Produktseite nicht darstellen lässt.

Setup: Das Werksetup ist in allen Bereichen perfekt, stimmen und man kann sofort loslegen. Individuelle Einstellungsvorlieben kann man mit wenigen Handgriffen herstellen. Perfekt - was auch bei Instrumennten dieses Presisegments nicht in jedem Fall selbstverständlich ist! Hier stimmt's.

Sound: Der Sound stimmt mit meiner Erwartung absolut überein. Schließlich hat man sich ja vor dem Kauf mit dem Instrument auseinandergesetzt und kann von daher gar keine bösen Überraschungen erleben. Der Rest ist Geschmackssache und lässt sich von daher nicht bewerten.
