Good for a Hofner Shorty too!
Anonymous 10.05.2016
I bought this to replace the stock gigbag from my Hofner Shorty which was pretty poor, and was eventually unusable because the zip failed.

The length dimensions are ideal for the Shorty. There's a little more width than I really need, but that's compensated for by the fact that the neck is held in place against a generously padded area using a velcro strap - this stops it moving around in the case, and provides extra protection in that vulnerable neck to headstock join area.

Overall protection/padding is prettty good - the whole point of these travel guitars is that you can take them out and about, so having the confidence to just sling this in the car, or in an overhead locker, is great.

There's a generous pocket (bigger than the original) on the front for music/leads/pedals and so on, plus a shoulder strap if that's your thing.

So, in summary this is better than the gigbag that it replaced, very happy with it.

C
Very useful bag
Carlos3583 08.02.2014
I use this to carry my Steinberger GR-4 around and it works. In fact it's probably the only bag in this website that's the right size for a headless guitar that also has a body (wings, etc) unlike the paddle-shaped Steinbergers. Of course you can use a regular shaped guitar bag, but then you wouldn't be saving any space with the headless design. The bag like this one with more padding won't fit a GR-shaped guitar, though.
The pockets are useful and of good quality, in fact the overall quality of the bag is high. Only flaws are lack of padding and the strap bites into my shoulder when I carry it - two straps would have been better.

Fits my exotic 7-string headless
kbra 27.12.2021
Fits like a glove around my custom no-name 7-string headless guitar. I assume it'd work with most headless 6- and 7-string Strandbergs, Skervesens, Adversaries and what-have-you, but can only vouch for my specific instrument - measure the body size before you buy!

I'm giving it four stars because while the size was bang on, it hasn't had to stand up to much abuse so far, so I can't comment on durability other than that nothing has broken down so far.

Very good padding
Xaghru 01.07.2024
Nice material padded well. Slightly tight if you are fitting a travel electric - the ones that are scratchplate only strat style and with a full length headstock. So measure it before you buy this or optional get a hofner travel shorty. It's not as padded but good aswell.
