This is the second time I'm buying this gig bag, which I use quite differently to its actual intention. I use this gig bag as an alternative to my 7 string baritone guitars, which end up having a snug fit in these cases. Case is padded decently enough and never did I have any particular problems when handling my guitars in it.
Only two minor cons to this case: The back strap is not the most comfortable I've ever experienced, it takes some little adjusting to. Also, after repeated use, the shoulder rest that comes along with the back strap can get weathered a bit.
All in all this is a good gig bag for daily use and very functional.

Good, but bigger than necessary

Reasonably good quality — well-made, well-padded, comfortable — but at least 8cm longer and 8cm wider than the bass* it's supposed to be for, which slides around a bit inside.
(* Actually, I have a 5-string Hohner copy, but I think it's the same size as the Steinberger.)

Headless bass gig bag
Anonymous 09.04.2014
Rockbags are always really great in quality and function at a very reasonable budget price. This particular gig bag for steinberger bass's is no exception and would also work great with other small bodied headless bass's. This gig bag is well made and the zips seem as though they will stand the test of time. The inner lining has a nice and quality feel to it and the internal padded strap holds the neck in place very nicely, and is a great feature as headless bass's tent to flap about a bit inside soft cases. The two simple but well sized external pockets are very usable but the addition of a third small pocket wouldn't go a miss. The main negatives of this products are the lack of padding on the outside of the pockets, and the low quality main carrying/shoulder strap that isn't very comfortable. Please note that the main internal padding is very good.
