Not as solid as the older models...
HalfManHalfGear 29.07.2018
Plastic is now used to join the top rail (where the necks rest) to the two side rails. The old models were all metal and much more solid feeling. This one flexes around a bit more than I'd like, but as I don't intend to move it much I hope it will hold up ok. One good thing is the bottom tubes are now round -not square like the originals. This means as the foam over them inevitably compacts over time, there won't be any hard, square edges to be revealed to dent or damage your instruments! Wouldn't dream of using outside the house, but at home they are a practical solution for larger collections of instruments.

good for undisturbed home use
MD2 15.05.2020
Very flimsy when put together. It holds up if only used at home and not moved around as much. Guitars with trems installed sit too close to the back of other guitars. I only bought it because I have V and other wierd shapes that only this seem to accommodate. I had to put it on furniture risers so I can get my Rhoads V on it without the tip of the V touching the floor. Kind of awkward but it seems to work.

Great Stand
Anonymous 03.11.2015
I've bought this item to keep my instruments all together in one place of my studio.

The stand is well balanced and can hold various instruments such as electric guitars, bass guitars and also acoustic instruments. The stand comes disassembled but it's easy to put it up.
All parts that are in contact to the instruments are padded with a dense non-slip foam. (The company do not recommend this stand for instruments with nitro-laquer).
So far none of my seven instrumens have any marks within the contact points with the foam.

The downside in my opinion is the "light look" of the stand that could make you think it won't hold all the instruments without collapsing.
I would also mention that the rubber feet of the stand could be a little bigger and solid avoiding marks on wooden floor and making the stand more stable.

I bought this stand because I wanted to place my 7 guitars properly and not leave them just laying around somewhere.
The stand was easy to put together and all of my guitars fit perfectly in it. I have 2 accoustic guitars, 1 bass guitar, and 4 different electric guitars. The guitar slots are all universal, so any type of guitar will fit. The stand is covered with a soft material in places where the instrument contacts with it.
The stand looks unstable but i could even move (push or pull) it to the other place full-stocked. The construction itself is still a bit shaky.
But i can live with it especially for this price. It stands against the wall so i am not worried that my instruments will fall down.
My conclusion: Its worth its money.

Space saver

I have it at home helping me (and my woman!) not to have all my guitars on single stands around the house.. I don't know if it could stand a touring life since it maybe looks a little fragile, but in studio or at home it's a perfect solution for storing electric and acoustic guitars and basses in a small place.

OK for the price, but not great
Njwxyz 10.02.2024
Assembly was difficult. There were no holes in the protective rubber on the bits the guitars rest on, leading me to think there was a manufacturing error. There was no mention of needing to search for the holes behind the rubber and having to line up the pieces over the hidden holes. Two holes were too large and the screws just kept turning, so I had to cut a wooden dowel and insert it into the tube for the screws to bind- otherwise assembly would have been impossible.
I mean it looks OK… I guess- and it does support the guitars well enough to use, so it’s not bad. Just not great.
A good option if you are on a budget and have the resources to work around manufacturing faults to get it built. If I did not, I would have had to return it. 🤷‍♂️

I was going to buy a 3 guitar stand when I saw this one. For now, I have 3 guitars / basses but what about the future? I could even use that extra real estate to have my cables and straps for example. That's what I've done. With some Thomann V1012 and some elastic thread, I got all my cables on the first section, on the second I have my straps and the others are for the guitars. Nice way to organize your cables and straps right? Still, one has to say, it's not very stable, every time I get one of my guitars on or off it i'm just hoping it won't fall down. Besides that, if you "open" it to the max there won't be any guitar or bass that fits, you just have to level it to the level of your guitar necks. That is just plain weird.

Good but slots for guitars are fairly narrow
GregF 20.04.2017
Good, cheap, easy to assemble (despite poor instructions) guitar stand.

I have this and the 3 slot version.
I would like each guitar slot to be about 1 cm wider. You have to be very careful taking guitars out not to scratch them on each other. On the plus side, the stand is quite compact for that reason.

it does its job, just

I would like to find adjustable feet on these kind of racks. Instead, I had to find the sweet spot of the room's floor...
Also, if you have a Fender Jazz Bass, be aware that it rests on the strap button: no way to accomodate it differently. So I guess that soon or later, the foam will break in correspondence of the button (too much pressure)

Does what it's supposed to

Great guitar stand for the money (as with many things at thomann it's a great price)
I've had this for a number of years now and I've never had any problems with it.

Only thing is that if you keep it next to the wall and you have a rogue guitar with a headstock pointing the other way to normal you'll want to move it a few inches from the wall so that the neck can make contact with the pad (unless you don't mind it touching the wall)

Would definitely buy again although I doubt I'll need to.
