I bought this couple of months ago from Thomann. I have been using this on my rode NTG-2. It does a really excellent job by reducing the sound of wind when working in outdoor locations. I highly recommend the rode DeadCat.

Didnt expect it to make this much difference

After finding out just how sensitive a rode ntg2 microphone is i thought theres no way this can stop wind noise from getting through but it really does a good job. At first i thougtht i'd just make my own for far less out of some material i had, Or I'd probably recommend people try 3rd party alternatives first, as the price is high for what it is so for me it loses a star for being overly expensive.

Good basic wind protection
Anonymous 28.01.2016
I have two of these and would use them outdoors in low-wind conditions.
They provide good basic protection to a microphone, from a splittly interviewee, from basic weather issues and of course from wind.
In high wind you'll want to supplement it with a Zeppelin.
I own a higher-priced item from a competitor brand and wonder why I spent the extra as I don't notice any difference in wind protection

C'est pas du poil Rycott mais ça fait l'affaire dans certaines situations pas trop venteuse. Par contre la protection n'est pas de 360° évité les vent dos micros, n?oubliez pas la mousse du micro pour la placé.
