Good mouthpiece, but provided nowadays by default with Roland AE10
alohahawaii 22.07.2021
I bought this mouthpiece, as in the past Roland Aerophone AE10 was sold with OP-AE-10-MP (with soft reed). I've read in the reviews that Roland OP-AE10-MPH is harder and feels more like sax. That is why I decided to order OP-AE10-MPH together with my Aerophone.
My Aerophone came already with OP-AE10-MPH in the box. And now I have 2 same mouthpieces. I left the second one just in case and to avoid returning and all that bustle.
About the mouthpiece:
I like the flexibility and at the same time the strength of the reed. The surface is slightly rough, that give that cane reed feel.
The mouthpiece plastic is quite easy to scratch with your teeth, so make sure to immediately buy and place the sax mouthpiece plates. Tenor plates are big, so better buy alto or soprano ones.
Make sure to place the mouthpiece properly on your Aerophone. Even a slight displacement can cause you hard times because of the bite sensor.
