This is a well-made chinrest, and a good option to try out the Guarneri style. Since it's boxwood, it's somewhat lighter than ebony. The one I've received is 43.7g, measured with the chrome feet it came with.
It has a slightly reddish finish as evidenced by the photos, so it's not as yellow as some boxwood fittings tend to be.
For those who might find it difficult to discern from the photos - the edges that might come into contact with the chin are not as sharp, but not completely rounded either, and there is no slope from the tailpiece end towards the left edge; so, if put upside down on a flat surface, it's completely flush.
