Well, bought this as brown cases are hard to find, and the faux leather is also an unusual material. It was cheap, and kind of looks it. Huge loose sheet music pocket on top that I don't need - stuffed it with a foam sheet to give the case a neater shape. Top stitching quite wobbly. The shoulder strap loop at the back is only attached to the outer faux leather material - it actually pulls and stretches out with the loop if I try - so I won't dare to use it! A pity, as this isn't super lightweight either. Shoulder strap are generic and ugly, colour and material don't match the look of the case at all. Subway handle very flimsy and thin, I wonder if it will stretch out of shape. Some minor glue stains inside (not visible, can just feel them). Wish the violin neck were better supported, it lies on just a narrow "edge" without any groove for it, only a velcro strap. So, all in all, it's obviously a cheap case, but I went for it as I wanted an old-fashioned look with some character (why, just why, do most violin cases, in almost any price category, look so utterly boring?) and for that it isn't too bad. Brass-coloured metal bits would have been a nice touch, but it looks cute enough if you don't look too closely. Just hope it stays in one piece, and keeps my violin safe...
