My microphone is Audio Technica BP 4025 and I do field recording in nature. I am disappointed by the shock absorbtion feature of this mount. I use it with Rycote's soft grip extension handle and there was a thick padded glove on my hand as well. But still every single clink of my hand and elbow bones are clearly audible in sound. It's really impossible to hold this without causing noise because it transmits the even the most minute noises of human body movement. You literally need to put it on a solid object and try to touch the handle as little as possible to lessen the noise transmission or put it on a tripod but then again what's the point if I can't hold it in my hand? I could have used the stock mount without shock absorbtion that came out of my mic's box if I was gonna put on a tripod... Rycote Lyre is an overhyped invention.
