Brilliant microphone shock mount
Thom9342 13.04.2015
If you have a large condenser microphone, these shock mounts are excellent.
Mounting your mike on one of these reduces the noise floor considerably and stops an enormous amount of low end rumble from being transmitted up the microphone stand.
I wouldn't have believed how much of an improvement a mount could make if I hadn't have recorded with and without the rycote and compared.

night and day difference - i now have them on all my large mikes.
The pop shield also works really well and attaches to the mount very securely and tidily. Easy to swing out of the way as well.

Highly recommended.

A relief compared with all those wobbly elastic bands.

Very happy, the integrated popfilter makes it even more compact and solid. Very recommendable. Only the price is really bizarre, this piece of (well made but) hard plastic should cost max 30 euro instead of 85. You do get a spare piece of popfoam-replacement (which cost 50 cts to produce max, but nevertheless). The only disadvantage is maybe when you have to switch mikes a lot (I don't) : it's not a quick release clamp but there are four padded screws you have to unscrew and tighten again, that might be a hassle then. I use the Studio Kit on a Manfrotto Magic arm which is genius for table recording and much sturdier, flexible and compact than most studio mike stands. So except for the price (hence 4 stars) I can recommend it!

Unobtrusive absorbant Plosive Reducer
Flemboy 23.02.2023
I've lived and worked with the Rycote Invision Studio Kit for many years now with my TLM103. A permanent part of the set-up, it handles all the bursts of breath thrown its way.

The Rycote team located in Stroud, UK, employ four Lyre suspension brackets to support the circular frame and the shield is a 10mm‑thick foam pad, placed within plastic nubs front and rear of the oval-shaped support ring. Allows for quick replacement with the extra foam pad supplied. No HF roll off and a good absorber of gusts when performing loud voice-overs. The Lyre suspension minimising vibration, although my boom arm is screwed to a wall. Solid in place; use it atop a stand conventionally with the Rycote foam pad perched on top of the suspension, or like me, hang it from the circular frame when using a boom arm mic holder over a screen.

The Rycote's size and distance-to-mic doesn't intefere with script reading and is a stylish addition to the set-up.

Rycote Invision USM Shockmount & Pop Shield (Studio Kit)
bobbydogmusic 10.11.2014
Bought this to hold my vintage AKG C422 Stereo Mic at an angle but soon found that it will securely hold almost any shape of mic including my vintage AKG C414 Comb. Isolation is excellent and the design is ingenious - if like me you have a collection of lovely old mics you'll wonder how you managed without it! The Pop shield is very efficient and transparent - a brilliant piece of kit.
