Really well made and solid, the s-hoop help focus the sound of each drum and make tuning easier. They also create a pleasant profile to the drum because of their flat rim that sits close to the head.
If it's good enough for Gavin Harrison, it's good enough for me.
Pros - inexpensive way to improve drum sound.
