I bought this case for my left handed Schecter Blackjack ATX C-7.
Although Schecter do make hard cases with cutouts to fit some left handed models, (my C-7 Hellraiser came with a very similar hard case) I was unable to find one to fit my Blackjack ATX C-7 so I opted to buy the universal case.
From the outside the case is identical to the one supplied with my C-7 Hellraiser. It is made from the same Polyethylene/ABS plastic and seems very strong, durable and secure with 3 latches (one lockable).
Internally the case is well padded to protect the guitar and there are several small cutouts that can be used to store accessories.
There is a standard cutout for the guitar neck and plenty of room for the head stock but, as this is a universal case, the cutout for the guitar body is a simple rectangular shape which accounts for approx. half the length of the case.
My ATX C-7 fits well with a gap of roughly 1.5 cm on either side of the body so in theory the guitar could move a little inside the case. This movement should be minimal once the case has been securely closed as the padded lid will apply slight pressure against the guitar holding it in place.
For smaller bodied guitars I think it would be advisable to add some additional padding around the guitar body to ensure the guitar does not move in transit putting strain on the neck.
Overall the case is very good quality and although being universal I have found that it is a very close fit for my ATX C-7 and gives me peace of mind knowing my guitar is well protected.
I would certainly recommend this case if you own an odd shaped Schecter guitar and even more so if you own one of their left handed models where no specific case is available.
