Very well rounded 7 string

Hellraiser Hybrid is a medium-high end line of Schecter guitars that combines features from both Hellraiser and SLS. Most notably, the neck profile is thin but not too thin, which in my case is exactly what I wanted. The list of specs is quite impressive: locking tuners, graphtec nut, EMG 57/66 pickups (my favorite EMGs) and Hipshot bridge.
These specs somewhat justify the 1100+ € price tag, but there are some minor inconveniences: while the finishing is good in general and mine arrived in perfect visual condition, the binding comes out just enough to be tactile around the 1st and 2nd frets which is a little bit annoying, and the fretwork is in general not quite as well finished as other guitars that are just a tad bit more expensive. For example, it is subpar compared to my Ibanez Prestige that costs a few hundred euros more but came with a hard case. Which reminds me that at this price range Schecter really should include at least a gig bag.
Don't get me wrong: the guitar is great, plays great, the EMG pickups are fantastic, it stays in tune, it feels solidly built and I am very happy with it. I also paid for a full Thomann setup service that included restringing, intonation and filing the nut to accommodate a higher gauge 7th string. The result is quite neat and the action nice and low but there *is* some buzz. As a side note this service did not include the price of new strings; it's only a few Euros but other stores (in my experience) restring for free with a new purchase.
Overall I am satisfied with the guitar, it has only minor issues that could (possibly) be fixed easily and Thomann was quick processing my custom order and delivering it. I would definitely recommend it since the stock specs are excellent and there is basically nothing else that compares at this price range or below.

I waited 4 months and it was worth it!

Initially I wanted the 6 string version, but after 4 months and several problems, I opted for the 7 string which was avaliable immediatley. And boy am I glad I did. The guitar sounds and play amazingly, the neck is super smooth and seriously comfortable. The pickups are deliciously sensitive and make tapping and double tapping practically effortless. The guitar itself is sturdy and very well built. Top it all with absolutley gorgeous design, and you have an absolute beast of a guitar.

A good metal guitar. Needs a bit of adjustment right out of the box and overall finish is not top notch but I'm definitely satisfied.
