Best guitar I ever bought
lmismyl 26.08.2021
This is my first Schecter guitar and I must say, it sounds amazing.
First of all, the only negatives thus far is that I had to screw the bridge pickup deeper as it was touching the strings. After doing so, everything sounded killer. Also there are no lockin tuners, but the ones that are there hold tuning quite well and it doesn't bother me too much.
For the positives, the stock pickups are very loud and have a very good tone. I don't really need to crank the gain on my Scarlett 2i2 when recording as it already is plenty loud and produces perfect DI. Getting a good tone while recording with plugins or playing live through my Mooer GE 250 is super easy.
The neck and frets feel smooth, the shape fits perfectly and visually this guitar has a very pleasing look to it.
I have used this guitar for 2 months now and there are no issues and I am pleased with this purchase, well worth the money.

First ever seven string guitar. The neck is nice and thin, super fast and comfortable. Fretwork is nice, nothing sharp sticking out. Sustain is very good. Fan frets were no issue to get used to right away. The weight distribution is good, the guitar is well balanced. Pickups are very high output and a little loose at the low end, but have good clarity in the mids and highs.
Ok lets get to the "fun" part. The guitar had a little scratch on the wood on the top "horn". The volume know sometimes produces a god awful irritating crackle while turning. the tuners are NOT locking tuners, as a matter of fact they don't hold very well.
And here's the big issue. As soon as I read the previous review of the guitar I decided to inspect my fretboard and noticed a crack going from the 2nd through the 4th fret right in the middle under the 4th string. I've had it for 2 months now so it's too late to return it so I've sent it back to Thomann for a repair I'm guessing. I'm pretty sure it's a batch issue since the previous reviewer had the same exact problem. I really hope it gets replaced since it's not exactly on the cheapest side and one would expect such an instrument to hold up for years if not decades.
Overall I like it. Plays and feels fantastic but I will get the pickups and tuners replaced in order to reach the instruments full potential.

First impression was great, i was happy to play it, even if the strings weren't that close to the fingerboard as i was used to on my previous ones.

Tone was acceptable, a little bit muddy i would say, but still good enough. Unfortunately, suddenly i have spotted quite a few cracks on fingerboard of my copy. I have reported this to the support already, i am now waiting for response.

The build quality of the guitar is simply amazing! Since I've got it I almost haven't used a different guitar on productions.
The pickups sound really good for stock pickups and who ever is going to buy this guitar will be happy for sure!
