Modern classic

The Sennheiser HD-25 is probably one of the most widely used headphone models ever among professionals. Since Sennheiser launched this all-rounder on the market in 1988, it has become indispensable for stages, clubs, and FOH systems. This is mainly due to its robust but extremely compact design and good shielding. Fun fact: It was precisely because of its good shielding that the HD-25 was also the headphone model of choice on board the Concorde aircraft of British Airways. That's one of the reasons it became so popular with such a large audience. Even today, these small DJ and studio headphones have indisputably maintained their pole position. In the HD-25 Plus package, you get the headphones with some extras: Sennheiser has included a coiled cable, a carrying case, and an additional set of velour ear pads.

Sennheiser HD-25 Plus

Small, light, loud

The advantages that speak for the Sennheiser HD-25 Plus are quickly explained: It combines good sound and high maximum volumes with an extremely practical and portable design. The 70-ohm headphones rest stably on the ears, but not so tightly that they become uncomfortable when worn for a long time. In addition, the cable is replaceable, allowing common damage to be easily fixed. The headband can be adjusted for a secure fit even during wild club gigs, and the ear cups can be rotated to allow comfortable monitoring with one ear.

Sennheiser HD-25 Plus, Monitor Headphones

Built for touring

Originally designed as headphones for sound engineers, the Sennheiser HD-25 Plus has now found a new calling as the DJ headphone model par excellence. No wonder, because it provides everything you need as a DJ: Very good shielding, a comfortable fit even during long sets, high volume, long durability and, last but not least, compactness and low weight for travelling. But it's clear that not only DJs are fans. The HD-25 Plus is therefore a good choice for anyone who needs reliably good sound on the road and under live conditions, and for a number of years. The HD-25 Plus won't be letting up anytime soon!

About Sennheiser

In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the MD 441 microphone classic, hugely enhanced the company’s international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.

Seconds of shielding, hours of partying

The subwoofers are working to the limit, and the devices in the DJ booth are moving around on the table from the vibration. You can’t even hear your own voice any more. But the next track is already playing on the HD-25 Plus. These headphones are the DJ's refuge to calmly select the tempo and starting point for the next transition. You are shielded for a few seconds, so that you can precisely set the beat before plunging back into the party. The Sennheiser HD-25 Plus can do this for hours on end in the evening without ever becoming uncomfortable or wearing out - even at intense volume levels.

Plus what?

This is my second pair of HD25's I use them for live sound engineering and in my home studio.

It's a classic design as it's always been and give a honest sound with a tight bass response just like my last pair.

The only thing I can see that's been added is the choice of cable curly or straight included in the box and they are slightly more pricy.

These are the industry standard for most live sound engineers, cameramen and DJ's and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

You can't really add anything glad nothing has been taken away.

Current batches seem to be made in Romania, old ones made in Ireland were ultra good product 11/10, current ones sound worse so I'd give it a 9/10
