Great sounding pickup!
Gabriel P 09.11.2017
I used it at the bridge position on an Ibanez SA and I love it. It sounds just right. I am usually picky about the bridge pickup because they all sound too bright for me. The SH-5 sounds just right! Not too dark either. All overdrive rock genres of the 80s or 90s can use this pickup. If you're more into newer metal I would go for a different seymour duncan more muddy like the sh-6 or nazgul, but this one goes perfect to my style.

PROS:
- Sounds awesome!
- Good price for such a great pickup

no cons. Really!

Simply amazing

This is a really good pickup. I love it. It can do sprakling cleans and simply crushing metal riffs. I would say SD JBs taken another step further.

The best pickup ever!
Shelby1899 24.12.2017
I have a lot of pickups different manufacturers and SH-5 sounds the best. I have one in my Yamaha Pacifica 120H in bridge position with V8 in neck and this pickups are universal from blues to heavy metal. It gives a lot of treble with soft bass. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade their guitar.

Fat heavy rock pickup
Franz Morning Chaos 30.09.2022
I installed this pickup in a too bright Epiphone Slash Les Paul. The guitar sounded good but a bit boxy and too bright for a Les Paul for my taste.
The update made it sound huge, fat & raw. Perfectly suited for heavy rock and metal (Guns, Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry...), at ease for rhythm and solo stuff.

It however compresses the sound a little bit, which makes it not the best choice when you need a crunch sound with very clear articulation and detached notes.
