I just upgraded from the Shure GLXD24 Beta58 set to this one and the upgrade is noticeably different. The SLXD now feels like something in the professional territory of wireless mic gear, rather than the lower end gear for hobbyist pub bands.

For reference, I play in a mainstream rock cover band playing anything from small pub gigs to weddings and functions on large stages.

The SLXD unit is much better for connectivity and stability that the GLXD, as it is not in the very cluttered 2.4 ghz signal.
For reference of total wireless units that we have on stage:
Shure GLXD16+ guitar wireless
Xvive Bass Wireless
5 ghz wireless router for Ipad mixing to Midas MR18
Sennheiser IEM EW 300
2 x Joyo 5 ghz wireless form mic to mixer
Xvive 2.4 ghz wireless from bass to mixer

To keep the GLXD connection stable, I had to set it to the highest latency setting, which is 8 ms of delay. Through a digital mixer, this is where the delay gets noticeable through in ear monitors. Switching to the SLXD, I now have stability at 3.2 ms, which has removed the audible delay from my in ears, which makes for a very enjoyable monitor mix.

Checking for the best frequency is very quick to find and sync to the mic. Mounting is easy.

The mic is slightly lighter than a wired Shure Beta 58a, but it feels solid and professional.

It was a decision for me between getting a QLXD and the SLXD. Now I have the SLXD, I can't ever see me needing to upgrade.

I use the Shure SB903 batteries with mine, so it gives about 2 gigs worth of battery power, also displayed on the unit.

Would highly recommend for anyone that wants a perfect entry into a professional wireless mic unit.

Very happy
