WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS MIC

SO I BOUGHT THIS MIC THINKING IT WILL SOUND BETTER THAN A LOT OF MICS BECAUSE OF THE PRICE POINT BUT I THINK WRONG. WHEN I TESTED IT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX IT SOUNDED DISTORTED AND I WAS WONDERING WHY IT SOUNDED SO BAD SO I THOUGHT IT COULD BE THE DIAPHRAGM IN THE MIC CAPSULE SO I OPENED ONE OF THE MICS AND CONCONNECTED WIRES TO IT STRAIGHT TO A MIIXER AND IT SOUNDED CLEAR AND BALANCED.

NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS MIC. IS IT THAT THE RECEIVER IS PRODUCING A BAD OUTPUT OR THE HAND MICS ARE PRODUCING BAD OUTPUT TO THE RECEIVER

THERE'S A DIGITAL VOLUME ON THE RECEIVER BUT IT DOESN'T WORK WHEN TO TURN IT UP OR DOWN DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.
