As almost everyone today uses a pad or a laptop you need a stable way to place it. This is a safe way to protect your laptop.
I use it with a docking station and the provided velco tape made the docking station hold the computer in place even if the table is pushed on, a lot.
The height is OK, i have it on the big SKB DJ rack.

Still very solid after a long time of use - no flexing!

Laptop Holder

This rack laptop holder is really useful equipment. Works great in Thon Triple Door Live Rack, although it'd fit better if you could fold it few milimeters lower (If you have some manual skills, you can lower it by yoourself)

The shelf itself is stable, works as supposed

Not a good fit for SQ5 and SKB R100

Bought this to use with my Allen & Heath SQ5 in a SKB Gig Rig 100 flight. Because the screw on the inside of the bracket protrude, the collide with the mixer. The fix is to mount it a bit lower in the rack. When you want to use the mixer, the shelf is above the screen in such a way that you have to bend down to see the screen.

matériel robuste et solide , très pratique en prestas ou en sonorisation, petite précision, il ne s'adapte pas sur les racks skb ancienne version.... je le conseille aux djs qui ont besoin de place et qui veulent optimiser leur installation
