Good multicore - a little overkill with 2 lines
Stephan7664 18.02.2014
This multicore cable is very flexible, has a thick, hard to cut but very soft outer jacket, and nice wires inside. It is, however a little big for a cable carrying two signals, as there are two fibre-fillers each as big as a sub-cable. The 4-pair version of this cable is just as thick. The wires besides the big outer jacket are easily stripped (I use a professional Stripax automatic wirestripper) and soldered.

My use of this cable was to connect a preamp to my DSLR Camera. The cable barely fit into a 5-pin XLR connector with the help of some tools to cut oof parts of the strain-relief inside the connector. I used an Amphenol 5 pin XLR, which is like the Neutrik XX series, but cheaper. For this cable, it was a mistake since the Amphenol's plastic for the strain relief is hard and brittle, and it was easy to break of too much. Neutricks strain relief is softer and not brittle at all, so next time I will spend the extra cash.

Mounting on the other side was using an industrial strain relief. For this cable you should use a trumpet, as the screw0type strain reliefs can create a sharp bend in this cable.

Awesome cable!
Johan SpinOff 28.12.2019
Very good cable for on-stage use! I love to have a couple of 2-pair and 4-pair XLR cables around for feeding in-ear monitors, going from the DI's of the keyboard to the stage block, ... It drastically reduces the amount of separate cables on the stage. It just looks neater, works faster, ...

Pros: Good quality, Easy to solder

Cons (sort off...): It's rather expensive, but totally worth it!

Good for Studio Applications, Maybe not so much for Live Applications
BlackSpire 26.10.2021
I use the cable for custom length stereo audio connections in my studio.
The two cores are extremly well padded and will resist people walking over it pretty well (I still wouldn't recommend running it through a walk way).
While it might be overly thick and a bit expensive, I like buying cables that last for a life time, which this cable does so far.
Thanks to the padding, this cable will also last long in a live setup, but due to its thickness it can get cumbersome to handle at certain lengths.
Also there is something to be said for not using expensive cables in live setups, since event the best cables won't survive an idiot tying a knot in it.

Note: be careful when removing the outermost coating layer as the next layer is the individual core coating, which you don't want to cut open.
The individually coated cores are thick enough to work with the strain releave of neutrik connectors.

This one was a bit of a letdown for me. For a two pair cable composed of really thin individual lines, the cable as a whole is really thick with a lot of filler inside. Coiling is kind of clumsy because of that. Either thinner overall cable diameter or thicker individual strands would feel much better. But it is usable and so far it works as it should.
