I was a bit tired of the cable of my sennheiser HD-280, I decided to change it. And the headphone beeing completely black, I felt that some color had to be involved in the equation. This cable is not really intended for this application but since the signal has a quite low impedance and is not balanced, the shielding doesn't really matters.
The cable has a really nice balance of flexibility and robustness. It's easy to cut open, denude, solder. For a headphone cable it's the perfect size. A bit over the "consummer" size for that kind of wire. For a microphone cable, it would feel a bit to small if you manipulate it a lot. Sound is really nice. It does the job perfectly. Color is really nice as well. I would have loved a "radioactive green" cable.
Sommer cable, you know what you got to do.
