I fell for this microphone given the reviews on the web and the perceived quality: wooden box, pristine finish. Basically, I had high hopes. I am looking for high-fidelity microphones for my drums.
After testing one, I did not hear much of a difference comparing these to the Rode M5s. I felt the middles more natural, but I did not hear crisp highs. Moreover, the cosmetic finish is not top of the level: in some parts, such as the place where the XLR connector goes, the painting wasn't that precise. Not the best news if you count to keep your gear 10 years at least. So, I don't believe they are worth the money. Probably, if they costed around 250, they would be more adequate. Just my opinion, naturally.
On the other hand, if you want perfectly balanced sound and pristine finish, you should probably opt for the Neumann 184s. Which cost much more at the moment.
