I bought it because of SPL great promotional videos on youtube and information in their website. I was looking for attenuator which affects sound least and fits my budget as well.
What I like about it is that it does not need a power supply to work - it is completely passive and that that saves sound quality a lot I think.
I missed some functions like other attenuators have, like additional line level output or dual output to speaker ports. All those gadgets probably do reduce the quality of sound and probably needs external power supply, but I still quite missed them :D
When I started it for the first time there was lots of plastic/chemicals smell smoke coming out from it, so if there is any possibility to play it for the first few hours outside to burn all that stuff off - I highly recommend it. In my case it was way too cold outside to do anything, so the flat was really smelly for the next few days.
Later the variable switch started to not work when in position around the middle, so I sent it back/returned it. But of course it can happen to any attenuator - probably it was defected one or something.
Visually it really does look and feels heavy-duty/high quality made.
However, I still was really happy about its sound quality - if you don't need dual speaker port out or level line port out, I highly recommend it.
