Perfectly fine, provided you have some external method of control, such as a DMX desk or laptop. The fan is one-speed only, and the haze release is either on or off with no levels inbetween. Plugging the hazer in with no DMX signal causes it to start blowing haze at full strength with no way of reducing the intensity, and this thing generates a lot of haze with a very small amount of fluid. Just remember to power on your controller before the hazer and you'll have no problems. Would recommend happily as a very robust and reliable hazer *if* you have a controller. Not practical as a standalone device.

This haze machine has a great output (although the fluid I am using sometimes makes it look more like smoke than haze - but I don't think that is anything to do with the machine). I have just used it for a big light show and it was perfect to allow the audience to see the beams, and filled the room really well. DMX control is a great feature and the only real downside is the noise. It became a little bit distracting at points during my light show (and I could imagine this potentially being an issue in the theatre environment) - however it would be absolutely fine for discos or louder situations. It's a great machine, and I am really glad that I bought it!

I have recently purchased this hazer for a production I'm working on in a 250 seat theatre.
We have used many hazers of various price ranges, from cheap Chinese ones to Smoke factory ones. These have all been hired and we really wanted to get hold of one of our units. I came across this one for a shocking good price with decent features and reviews. I bit the bullet and purchased this. It came with-in 4 days and had no shipping implications - all good there :D

I filled it with PHF hazer fluid. hooked it up to a Zero 88 Frog and it filled the room within 5 minutes. A 250 person theatre in 5 mins! Very impressed with the output.

The build it all metal, with grippy feet and good DMX connections.

Enough on praising the machine.
This machine is loud, like loud. It gets picked up by the overheads. This machine seems to have a toileting problem as it leaks, not much, but it's still inconvenient.

To conclude, this machine is a great buy if noise is not a problem. I've been using this machine a lot over the last 4 days and it has not disappointed.

I was a-bit tentative when I bought this item. Wasn't the actual hazer I wanted but Thomann was out of stock. Was advised this one by one of the sales agents and have been pleasantly surprised.

Its nice and light, and the build quality seems good. Doesn't use to much fluid when running but it is quite thirsty. Would be nice for some fan adjustment control, but its not particularly noisy when its on. Has a nice little angle vent that directs the haze.

It does tend to spit fluid quite a bit, so you end up having to mop the floor around the hazer a fair bit. Otherwise it works well.
