I bought four of these for home use in order to illuminate hifi, speakers and pictures to create mood and ambience.
These par cans are well made and each of the three components (lampholder, light tube and filter frame) are securely held together with a wire string to prevent loss.
The lamp is inserted by removing the light tube from the lampholder by unscrewing, by hand, two silver securing nuts. This exposes the GU10 socket to which a lamp can be fitted. I have fitted white lamps for spotlighting pictures and coloured lamps for illuminating hifi and speakers. I have also used remote controlled LED lamps with these PAR cans with great effect.
The filter frame is a useful addition to the unit though im not keen on the effect when the grating is in place and much prefer the grating out of the way.
These PAR cans can easily be mounted using the attached bracket and can them be positioned and then locked into position with the lock nuts.
The PAR cans come with euro plugs fitted as standard but Thomann provided UK plug adapters free of charge. I personally plug the lights directly into a multigang schuko socket and use a single euro to UK converter on the multigang.

Yo, da gibt‘s nicht viel zu sagen liebe Lichtfans. Der PAR ist klein, leicht und hat nie schlechte Laune. Mit einem hochwertigen Leuchtmittel ausgestattet freut er sich jedes Mal wenn ihm die Leuchte in der Birne angeht. Ich kann den Spot für jeden empfehlen der auf die alte wunderbare PAR Spots steht. Dazu noch ne Minitraverse und ich könnt mich den ganzen Tag drunter legen und ne Lichtshow über mir abfeuern. Natürlich auch die nur im Kleinformat. Und dazu ist der Spot natürlich unverschämt leicht. Damn, nur gute Sachen. Verarbeitung auch gut, Preis auch gut. Einmal, alles gut, immer gut. Rein in den Einkaufswagen. Cheers

I am trying to create a guitar lounge theme in my living room. I live in a small place and was using a large standing lamp I bought for ¤80 in TK Maxx. I never really used. These are an exceptional idea as an alternative and give you that kind of stage feel. When all parts are combined bulbs, filters etc you can have the lot for around ¤50. I am over the moon. I am going to be ordering the barn doors to go with them on my next order.
If I had one criticism it is that when looking at items like this on the website it is very hard to get a sense of perspective (size) from the image against a plain white background. Maybe a single photo of them in a set up by a PA or guitar would help.

I had some GU10 LED lamps left over and considered using them in my home studio as ambient lights. So I ordered four of these PAR 16 cans. The set is quiet less expensive.
After unboxing I inserted my LED lamps and put colored filters in front.
I experienced the cheap build quality. Especially the filter holder was hard to insert. But in the end all worked well, no injuries, everything works and now they will last forever I believe.
I screwed them to a plate and placed them on the floor, lighting up the wall.
The result is a nicely illuminated atmosphere in my home studio that invites me to play relaxed chill-out lounge music ;-)
The PARs do their job, the construction is simple and all together it's very good value for the money.
