I bought 10 of these to replace some 15 year old ADJ panels that are now failing the insulation resistance element of their PAT test. So this TriLED Show Bar seemed like a good choice given how consistently well Thomann's Stairville lights have served me in the past.
Bright would be an understatement. I used them in a 600 capacity venue this weekend as part of a rock show, and they were so bright I had to actually disable them and use them very sparingly! That's even with 40 LED wash lights trained on the band, and two large 350W LED follow spots following the lead singer and guitarist. I'm going to have to rethink how I use them.
I set them to 27 channel mode so they can work with my existing lighting programmes and use only 135 DMX channels over five fixtures. I also tested some of the built in programmes to satisfy my curiosity. They're quite basic but usable, and the video on the main page is a very good representation of what this unit is capable of.
I think the best part is they're fairly light weight, and I managed to fit five of them into two existing 120cm long cases, that are about 30x30 in height and depth. In terms of foot print they don't take up much room, weigh very little, and when they're not operating are almost invisible in a dark venue. Highly recommended, especially in DMX mode if you have a desk capable of pixel mapping.
