just spent 3 hours playing this instrument non stop, right after getting it. Really fun , in a lot of ways unusual . But overall a great buy.
PROS
1)Great sound ,(for the price).
2) Great sustain ,
3)surprisingly even sound across the board
4)The look of this bass is amazing, if you like this kind o stuff, and the build is exceptionally descent (again ,for the price) .
CONS
1)It's weird playing it , quite different ergonomics from the standard
p-bass etc.. but i guess it made me play differently too so that was kind of cool and as time passes you get used to it.
2)The tuning screws (?) are a bit sketchy and not responding quite as good
2) The strings are awful . And difficult to find. I think that is the biggest flaw of this instrument. It only takes double ball end strings .
But as i know one can find single ball adapters, so i'm planning on doing that.
Overall ,i was completely satisfied with this purchase , as its sound ,vibe and uniqueness completely overshadow the cons.

Fantastic value travel and 80's throwback sensation

When you order this bass you must order the adaptor for normal strings and some decent, known brand strings. Because the Steinberger double ended strings are junk.

That said, I spent about an hour changing the strings to some Rotosounds, lowering the action at the bridge and setting the intonation and now it's very playable. There's a bit of fret sprout that will take another hour's work with a nail sanding board and then I'm set.

Note that the position of the instrument is weird when you have it strapped on. It's all displaced to the left because of the short body. You'll be stretching your left arm for quite a way to play the first few frets. I saw somebody on YT with a rather ugly but practical mod with a metal bracket to move the left strap lug away from the body. I can see why now.
