Good but not AKG compatible
StanGenchev 25.09.2021
These pads are for Superlux HD 681 and are a great genuine replacement parts. They also look like an exact replica of the AKG K240 pads, so I ordered some as people have said they are the same but unfortunately they are not. I compared them with new original AKG pads.
Here are the main differences:
The leather material is shinier and heats up more then the AKG ones.
The outer diameter is 103 mm on the Superlux and 108 mm on the AKG.
The inner diameter is 55 mm on the Superlux and 58 mm on the AKG.
You will be able to put them on the K240 but it will be a very, very tight fit. The sound also changes slightly. Main difference is that the mids will start sounding a bit further away.
Overall, I would definitely recommend for Superlux headphones and I would strongly suggest to avoid them as a replacement for AKG headphones.

A useful spare part

I bought these Superlux EPK-601 ear pads for my AKG K 240. I use these headphones a lot both for listening to music and producing music in the studio. These copies of the AKG product fit perfectly and are cheaper than the Austrian equivalent.
They "work" as expected. I couldn't find any differences... the same look and the same function. But they also have the same disadvantages as the AKG product. When using the headphones for a longer time it is getting hot and sweaty around your ears ... Furthermore the rubber material seems to harden over the years, so it's good to exchange the pads regularly. The attractive price of this product actually helps you to get a new pair of fresh ear pads from time to time...

Dur à mettre Hard to put

Alors !

SO ! In terms of manufacturing and comfort, it's the best! But frankly ! This is a big hassle! I really lost it! Before putting them on, you must stretch the elastic of the cushion by forcing it, then you must position part of the elastic on the earpiece. And then it gets complicated. You must hold the part of the elastic placed on the earpiece with one hand then you must put your other hand inside the cushion and push the elastic so that it is positioned on the earpiece. Once the part of the elastic is positioned on the earpiece, you must move part of your fingers so that the elastic remains in place and so on until the end of the operation. It's quite complicated to do without having a minimum of training. The pad is quite soft which makes the task more difficult. At the same time I bought a pair of ear cushions for the Superlux HD-660. And frankly, despite the fact that for the HD-660 you have to disassemble it, it took me less time to change the pads.
