I've give it a try as a mic at public rehershal studio, where vocalists from local bands without their own mics can use what we have there. I also sing myself, and I liked this mic: good looks, clear sound, not too much of a feedback, lays good in hand. One of our customers owns a Shure SM-58 and he confirmed this one sounds very very similar.
Now here is the downside. After being thrown on the floor I guess, the mic capsule inside got loose and now gives distinct noise when you shake the mic. And this is the first mic I've ever encountered where you seem to be unable to unscrew the grill off the body to see what's up with that capsule and maybe secure it back. It seems to be glued-on. I will try to have some luck with the heat gun. Until then ? it still sounds good but the handling noise got pretty distracting.
Overall ? good-sounding mic if you handle it gently, not suitable for harsh use. Great value for money.
