This switch does the job, but it is a bit loud (I mean the acoustic/mechanical sound when pressing and releasing it).
Seems well built and sturdy, I don't use it long enough to be able to comment on durability

too tall for my project

This is not a soft click momentary switch. I wanted to install it to my expression pedal, Nektar NX-P, as a toe switch however it didn't fit the case. It was too tall. Other than that the quality seems fine. It's a momentary switch with a click. I would not recommend this as a tap tempo switch.

I used the TAD SPST to replace a malfunctioning switch in my T.Rex Dr. Swamp, and it works as it's supposed to. Regarding the price of other similar switches, this one is a no-brainer!
