This was the most affordable quality two-legged hihat stand that I found and after a couple of weeks and about five to six longer practice sessions I can say that I'm very happy with this purchase.
Someone had commented that it's not a stable stand. I found that it does take a bit more care than a 'normal' 3-legged stand to get it stable, because you have to use the pedal as the third point upon which the stand is supported. It might take a couple of minutes, but at least for me, I was able to find a position where the legs are out of the way of all other hardware and the stand is very stable for stick playing as well as heavy playing with the foot. I can do hihat splashes and stomp quarter notes and eights with no worry of the stand falling.
At this price point, obviously you are not getting all the bells and whistles, such as a high tech cam or a locking bolt for the top cymbal. It's a very competent basic stand; sturdy, smooth, and the longer pedal board is fantastic, at least for my preference.
