Great sound, great detail, and good features for the price. Comparison with E-400.
Fauve 08.12.2019
Solid built quality, more than enough power for my speakers (Mission LX-2), and handy meters to make sure you are using a correct gain staging so that you don't push it unless you have to (as pushing an amp towards its upper limit might not do well to the speakers' tweeters).
I bought both this and the T.Amp E-400 for my speakers. The E-400 sounds a bit bigger, the soundstage is a bit larger, it's deeper but with a bit less clarity. I kept the S100 Mk2 because it's smaller, it has meters, no fan, and has a bit more clarity. It was a decision based on my job as a mixing engineer. I need something as revealing as possible. If I needed the amp just for listening I would probably get the E-400 as it's a bit more pleasing and less analytic, but I found the S100 clearer. Part of that is that it is brighter compared to the E-400, so you might want to consider it based on the signature sound of your speakers.

OL
It just keeps going
Owen L. 28.08.2014
I have been using this week in week out for 3 and a half years. It just keeps going. No fans, no noise. It just switches on, does it's thing and then gets switched off. It is set up in a system that gets switched on from the mains and not on the switch on the front panel. It has never complained or missed a beat. I do not have to think about it. I am not always there to run the rig, but I know that whatever anyone throws at it, it will just carry on without throwing technical wobblers. That is my kind of kit. It drives 2 separate monitors and is easy to use. It is small and light. I like it a lot.

C
Solid product, good value
Cobor 06.10.2024
I bought this amp to be used with 4 Dayton BST-1 bass shakers mounted to 2 seats in my home theatre setup. There's a review somewhere online with pictures of the inside and the construction. It is passively cooled, has a massive toroidal transformer for its price and is housed in a slim enclosure. Plus it supports bridging, so I'm using it bridged with the bass shakers in series and in parallel in pairs, connected to a single output. I did a short listening test with my front speakers and it sound impressive considering the price. For my purpose it's simply perfect.

M
Holy crap this is awesome
MD 05.06.2019
This has been working well for me so far. It is relatively loud and awesome sounding for a guitar rig. I am using it with an amp that has a reactive load. Amp goes to reactive load, then the load goes to this power amp, then finally to a speaker. I can crank the amp and finely control the final volume with the power amp. Very clean sounding. Took off one star for feature because I wish it had combination speakon and 1/4" connectors. I had to purchase extra speakon to 1/4" speaker cables as I was not expecting it to only have speakon jacks.

Simple, effective, silent amp
Zoltan B. 29.10.2014
I purchased this amp for my Alesis near-field monitors. It seemed to be a good choice for the purpose and proved to be so. The output power is perfectly enough, the sound is clear and the noise is low, matching this application. The auto-power-off feature I really like. I tend to leave it on now, not having to worry about power consumption. So overall this product is no regret for me.

It delivers
Real_dr_Jekyll 28.01.2023
Simple, straightforward, silent and powerful. Perfect for home studio applications when you're only allowed one room for all your "music junk" by your spouse. Great punch, no humming or hissing, no annoying fan, allows it to be near when you're recording.
Highly recommend it.

J
Excellent value!
John6033 17.08.2014
I fitted this in a fixed installation for some low-level music.
The terminals/controls seem well made and durable, as does the overall build quality. The amp runs without any noise to speak of and the sound quality is crisp and clear. It's only been in a week so I can't speak for long term applications but so far I'm very impressed. The rating I gave it takes the cost of the unit into account. Great value for money.

Excellent value for money!

I bought this power amp to replace my trusty Roland SPA-240 in a drive to reduce my electricity consumption and utility bills. This amp does the job nicely: a clear sound with no discernable distortion and low power consumption. An excellent choice for your studio.

Perfect balance between price and quality
Francopvg 28.05.2020
I use it to drive a pair of LS_3/5A luoudspeakers that are very (very very !!!) low in efficiency. They are small and closed speakers but the sound, using this low-cost amplifier, is dramatically rich in bass frequencies and details....
You can not pretend to have a punchy sound, but you can enjoy a good detailed sound!

Amped Up!
Kevo 03.12.2017
This is a tidy little amplifier. Surround sound systems are often inadequate as they need to be played loud to get the benefit and all the sound. A pro-audio solution is a better option and can be done for the same or even less than a "quality" surround system.
I bought this amp to drive 2 Behringer 1 Control monitors for a home audio set up for a family member. It is the perfect match at 100w per side @ 4 ohms. Packs a lot of punch & the sound quality is excellent considering the price. They lack a bit in bottom end but that is what they wanted so as not to piss the neighbours off. The price is nice too & it is affordable to anyone. It is convection cooled (No noisy fans) and has more than enough in/out options. It has an automatic standby for when it is not in use and options for running speakers in different configurations. It also has ground/lift switch for unwanted noise reduction. I would highly recommend this amp for home use. I am ordering another one of these for myself and for someone else and the bigger S.150 for myself to drive 2 JBL Control 1's. Thomann's own brand gear is pretty reliable & the back up service is no quibble & second to none. The 3 year warranty is a great comfort.
