tc electronic Tube Pilot Overdrive

I bought it for bass guitar and it has to much presence.
I boostet bass to max and cut mid and high to minimum on my preamp pedal and it was still to bright. Guitarist said it is what he want for his overdriven guitar.

I bought it to use as a clean boost, instead of a tubescreamer. It does the job but with less tight low end.

pros:
-The distortion has a unique character, kinda on the fuzzy side though.
-good quality construction and looks.
-cheap, can be modded easily

Cons
- not much versatility, either you like the sound or not. not much can be done to alter it.
- not recommended for boosting an amp, i would go for a TS
-it can sound thin and harsh depending on the configuration
