I am a keyboard player/vocalist and I wanted to experiment with harmonies as I had listened to other musicians and wanted to try it. As an entry level unit this is great. Not expensive but not a huge feature set either. You get what you pay for and this is great value for money.

Quality on a budget

This is a basic harmony pedal with no built in affects, but then it's also one of the cheapest around. Getting the wet/dry mix right is essential to getting a realistic sound without it sounding robotic, but once you get it right it works well to fill out backing vocals. It would be better if it had a doubling setting as well as the voices above and below, but at the price you're only going to get the basics.

Good value for money!

I have this plugged into my keyboard for automatic chord detection which is a bit an off-label application and I had some trouble with it until I split the keyboard into two audio outputs, left hand [with predominantly bass patterns] to left channel and right hand with the harmony to right channel so the H1 doesn't 'hear' the left hand play and the chord detection worked a lot smoother. If you're playing slow arpeggios it might still get confused but with some sustain pedal it is quite effective.

Great for live performance
Stevie e 01.12.2019
I love this pedal for live gigs it really opens up the possibilities for a fuller vocal sound when performing solo. You just have to be very subtle with using the dry/wet setting. It can sound to synthetic when wound up.I use it at about 9 'o'clock it lets your voice take the main role with subtle harmonies in the background. I use it with a guitar and find it has good true tracking keeping the voice harmonies fairly accurate.
