This Adapter is very solid in terms of price. It can be used to conect two patch cable in order to increace the total length. This is very usefull on a effectboard, if the standard cables are to short to connect two pedals that are far away. I highly recommend it for this kind of application. It can also be used to connect guitar cables to the amp if the 5m cables are not long enough. For this application I would not advice this adapter. There is not possible way to secure both patch cable. A little pull on one side of the cable is enough losen the adapter and the connection is cut. This can easily happen during a performace. Nevertheless the price at Thomann for this adapter is very good.

Hard to find

It's really hard to find, but thankfully it's available on Thomann.
It's cheap and doesn't look sturdy, but it just works for non serious application.

Useful for those annoying cable situations
TDT 11.01.2018
Great for extending balanced jack cables, or for connecting two jack>XLR cables together for gender convertors. A useful tool to have in the live or studio arsenal to fix problems that probably wouldn't arise if you had the right cables, but are too cheap (like me) to have them. Quality is OK, not the strongest.

I use this adapter for connecting and making two phones cables longer! It's pretty good, it doesn't fail to connect and doesn't detach the two cables! Reliable, especially for live situations!

Great jack!

I bought this adapter to connect a guitar amplifier head to the in-built loudspeaker of my other guitar combo amp. This adapter is great for this job. It works perfectly and holds the guitar loudspeaker cables in very thightly.
This adapter is hard to beat for its price!
Really this adapter comes in handy for so many porposes. Guitar cample too short? No problem, just take this adapter and connect two guitar cables. I keep this adapter in my guitar bag!

Useful for a quick fix
Janice 03.12.2013
These adaptors are solid and do the job intended very well - provide a temporary fix when the prefered cable is not available.
It's in the nature of RCA sockets that if you insert a longish plug adapter loaded with a longish jack plug in the back, there's going to end up being more weight and leverage at the socket than there would be with just a lightweight RCA plug, so I wouldn't think of them as a long term cabling solution, but still very handy indeed.

This was an interesting purchase. I got it to add some points to connect guitar and bass to an in ear monitoring rig. for that its been fine. since then, my bass player stole one and used it to connect 2 guitar leads together to make a super long one. He covered the connection with tape, and it seems to work.
