Unreliable connection
Nantonos 18.03.2015
I purchased several of these to connect a Eurorack synth (using 3.5mm jacks) to an outboard passive ring modulator (using unbalanced 1/4" TS jacks). The overall construction seemed sturdy enough but the fit of the 3.5mm jacks (several brands tried) was excessively loose, with visible wiggle and an electrically intermittent connection. They were unusable.
I ended up discarding them and instead soldering up conversion cables (AMPHENOL KM2PB-AU 3.5mm jack, NEUTRIK NP2 1/4" jack, Sommer Cable Onyx 2025 BK cable all from Thomann).

Not the best jack out there
Conork98 07.01.2022
Cheap but functionality does suffer as a result.... I got two of these and with both of them the 3.5mm side is very temperamental, the fitting is quite loose and the 3.5mm cable sometimes comes loose a little bit or disconnects entirely. I have tried with man 3.5mm cables

Absolutely fine!

Not the most exciting thing in the world but exactly what I needed and does the job fine.

The plastic molding around the body could have been cut cleaner and SOME Doepfer 3.5mm cables feel like they could work loose - but the price makes up for any minor niggles. Saying that, I am not comfortable enough to subject these to any excessive force... just be aware!

Thomann support were WONDERFUL when I had an issue with these. I bought a number of adapters and the delivery company were rough with the package - so much so there was a rip on the box and a number of them 'went missing'. Thomann replaced them with zero fuss and I had replacements super-quick! Thanks Thomann!

quality too bad

I know these are cheap, but they have all broken. One broke in an amp, had to open the amp to get it out, and even then it was a tough job. Another broke in a friend's guitar, luckily I could get it out easily.
Spend a little more and get a better one.

I bought two and on both the 3.5" connection is very loose with any cable that I tried, to the point of being unusable because of bad contact. At first I though I actually bought the wrong adapters. Cheap but not worth it.

It works fine, but I had a couple issues:

First, the 3.5mm side is not that smooth, you need to force the plug into it a bit at the end to secure it firmly

But a more serious issue is that the 3.5mm side is mono as well, meaning that if you plug a stereo headphone into it, you will hear only one channel. It kind of makes sense, but I did not expect this frankly.

Fir the above reason, unless you really need mono, I would suggest getting the stereo version instead.

It's OK
Veejer 10.08.2022
I bought a bunch of those adapters in order to use them to send big patch cables from my eurorack directly to my audio interface. However the fit wasn't always good. Some times it would fit nice and stay at its place, other times it would fit loosely and move all the time, resulting in buzz and noise.

Considering The Price
Chri5-HT 13.06.2019
it's OK but poor quality.
I bought three seeing as they're cheap as chips. The input on one of these is very loose and often crackles. Probably better to spend a little more in this case.

A perfectly tough and reliable little adapter. Nicely noise free.
