For the price you really can?t go wrong :) Tested the cable outdoors streaming live video production for 3 hours. Thumbs up.

I use is at least once a week. The ethercon jack feels sturdy, the cable is maleable and doesn't coil. The whole drum is lightweight.

The only thing to be aware of is that the drum-side ethercon plug is inferior in quality compared the other one. You would do yourself a favor if you would leave a small ethercon patch cable permanently plugged in, then connect from there.

The cable gets dragged around on different gigs both indoors and outdoors. Initially I was bit skeptical about whether it would last, but it has held up very well. It seems a bit prone to coiling on itself, but a lille care when winding it up solves that problem.
Pros - cheap, durable, looks good
Cons - none for the price

Hi purchased several of these cat5 cable reels. With so many devices now utilizing cat5/ ethercon/ rj45 connectors it was essential to have a few reels.

I have used these reels for a wide range of jobs from linking sound mixers to stage boxes (Roland digital snake units, Allen and Heath GLD80), vga to cat5 units, smoke machines, and artnet.

The price thomann are selling this for it is worth having an extra one as you never know when you will need one.

i use this to link my AR2412 to my QU24, so far it has performed excellently. Its easier to put under a cable ramp than my old 24 way multi core and so much quicker to pack up.....it lighter too

Very flexible and hard-wearing not easily damaged highly recommend once you use it you will never use hand cables again.
