Having recently done an overhaul on an existing flightcased mixing desk, I decided to tidy up all the cabling inside, this included pre-patched radio receiver and also a built in XLR input panel on the side of the flightcase. I was using XLR's that I already owned, including a few 5m and 10m cables and this to me was a complete waste of cable so I made the conscious decision to do an upgrade.
The sssnake SK233-0,9 XLR Patch was the easiest option as it was the perfect length for what I needed. At 90cm it gave me enough room to get to the patch panel from my mixer along with also being able to reach my radio receivers which are slightly inset and do not run flush with my mixer, so having that extra length was vital.
Having bought sssnake cables in the past I knew I would not have any issues in terms of quality. The cannons themselves are rock solid and the terminations are done to perfection. I have no fear of any signal drop out when doing a show and more importantly it has tidied my rig. No more excess cable!

decent cable, but not for critical situations

the sssnake SK233-0,9 is a decent patch cable. 90cm is the perfect lenght.
However, I'm not super convinced about the build quality, and internally the cables aren't well marked, not too easy to see what is positive or negative (had to take out my multimeter to be sure). Which makes quick repairs in the field cumbersome and leaves room for misunderstandings.
great for in the studio, not on the road.

It's fine

I have no problems with the wire, but it doesn't feel as sturdy as you might hope for from this type of cable. If you have the budget to spring for something better I would say to go for it. If not, this isn't a waste of money. It's really just my perception.

Great price to quality value
tomtomssi 08.03.2018
I got this to run my hardware effects in and out of my previously purchased M-Audio M-Track Eight.
The wire is somewhat flimsy but I since I don't need move it around at all in my home studio, it works wonders there. I would spend a bit more and get sturdier outside of the studio, though.
Usually cheap wires come with cheap plugins but these are well made. I don't have to fear that when I pull this out of a socket, the plug and cable will separate.
I'll be buying these when I need short studio cables.

Bought a number of these over the years at different lengths to wire up rack units. Also Handy to have them as short pigtails when daisy chaining between rack units or mxers and amps, saves having to reach deep inside the back of a rack on dark cluttered stages.
I had made up my own patch cables before but these are a great time saver.

If you need 0.9m, this will do it!

This has been in use for a while now. Worked absolutely fine. No need to spend huge amounts when this will do the job at a very reasonable price.
