I use these in a patch-bay and most cables are alright.
Though when I noticed stereo signals to be uneven, I started to check them with a digital multi-meter (Fluke 112).
Turned out that one cable was defective on arrival and about 20% of the 30cm cables have an insulation resistance of 10 to 30 Megohm where the others had "infinitive" resistance as expected.
