Beware the connectors

I use this cable and a similar blue one in "domestic" sets, about once per week.
The cable itself is a bit stiff, therefore not easy to wind properly, but I'm fine with that.
I was a bit more disappointed by the connectors. One year before I bought two 10 meters version of the same item and, while the stiffness of the cable was similar, the connectors were fine. This time it was not so. I stopped using these ones with a couple of t-bone SC140, because I have the feeling that they wearere too "challenging" for the structure of the microphones; they are hard to insert and even harder to detach. Now I use the two SC140 with cables with cheap Neutrik connectors, and these ones plug in and out easily. I keep using this SM6YE and its SM6BL brother with a pair of Rode M5, which are tank solid and it feels they have no problems with the extra force needed.

So many colours to choose from . . . .

Simple basic practical XLR male to female leads that will serve you well - as long as you don't ask too much of them., They are what you might call "light-duty" and I'd recommend them for connecting anything that doesn't move (probably need to exclude the bass player from this category nonetheless). They are a little delicate when stressed (like my Mum - which is fair enough) and the tiny screws that hold the plugs together are a little too easily dislodged for my liking but be nice to them and they'll last.

Fine for home studio use

These are very keenly priced cables which are great for using in static situations such as home studios where they're not being moved around a lot. I would however be less confident about using them in a live band environment as they don't seem to be built to cope with the constant stresses of being set up, coiled and uncoiled and packed away. Although I may have been unlucky I would feel more confident spending more money on a heavier duty cable for live gigging use.

Basic mic lead

I bought a few of these as general leads for my gigging stock. A couple of them failed after a couple of months of gigging. I'd say they're fine for light duties but not for the rigour of the road. After putting new ends on them they work fine and I've had no more failures.

good cable with limited usage

Nice cable for budget musician, good quality of cable itself and connectors. Sound reproduction is acceptable for live situation, but disappointing for recording. Music lacks the details and clearance. Yellow color will help you find it easily on dark stage.

Decent mic lead

this mic lead was a good mic lead for the price yet i have had ones in the past that have broken, what can you expect for such a cheap product, with the great value i could afford to buy 10 of these where i could buy 1 from another brand.
