I've been using condenser mics to record voiceover and general instruments, but they were proving too sensitive to my imperfect environment.
I wanted a larger dynamic mic, but due to infrequent use I didn't want to spend Shure money.
This mic is perfect for purpose and works well. It sits well on my Rode boom stand and balances nicely.
Sound is good, it's flat and neutral. Voice reproduces naturally. It sometimes has issues around plosives, but nothing you can deal with by placing it off centre of adding a pop filter.
Quality wise it feels solid and everything tightens up and stays tight. It lacks the feel of a premium product, but how much does that matter?
Overall it's impressive for what it costs. My only regret is a bought the XLR only vesion and not the one with XLR and USB... But aside from that I reckon it's a great starter, intermediate mic.
