Useful little mic
SteveR 19.06.2013
I bought this with half an idea that it might be useful for clipping on to an instrument, as this is mentioned in the product description. In particular, I was thinking of using it on a saxophone. While this can be done, the mic is relatively large - not for a standard mic, such as an SM58, but for a clip-on instrument mic.

This makes the CC75 somewhat more intrusive that you might like for this type of use. The clip is sturdy enough and the mic stays in place on the instrument, although it might slip if you're one of those players that moves around a lot.

Performance is reasonable for the price, and the clip does mean you can locate it in places where a mic stand might be problematic.

Don't forget that this mic needs phantom power!

Summary: Good value, practical mic for situations where a mic stand might not be appropriate.

Cheap but very good
Maximilian16 09.02.2022
I bought this microphone to have a spare mic for my trumpet, is very cheap but I was impressed with the quality. I don't recommend this mic for recording session but for rehearsal or live shows.

Fantastic!
Anonymous 07.06.2014
Now of course not the best quality in the world but considering the price this mic is excellent. I have used it on sax, trumpet, trombone and on all three it sounds really rather good! Considering the excellent price point what more could you want out of a microphone. It is clean, crisp and clear. I probably wouldn't use this mic for recording purposes however for live work it's quality is certainly acceptable. The clip is a little flimsy but again nothing I can't live with considering the price. Overall I would strongly recommend this microphone for anyone. Our band own five of them now, what more can I say. Fantastic!

Great Value
Anonymous 16.09.2016
I have two of these mics, the first I bought for our banjo player. He clips it onto the tailpiece, and it stays there fairly secure. The second I got for the washboard player. The sound is excellent for the price. Some clip-on mics are silly money, and for 90% of the time, you just wouldn't know the difference. The only issue I've had is with the strain-relief where the thin cable enters the gooseneck. It's just a crimped ring of metal, and the cable pulled straight through it. I dare say the banjo player had stepped on the cable though, so his fault really! It was an easy repair though - it's good as new now. I would guess the first mic has done about 30 gigs by now, so it doesn't owe us much!
When it breaks, I'll probably buy another to be honest. Little mics like this can be considered a consumable in the long term, and this is robust as any other.

Initially I bought it to use with trumpets, trombones and saxophones but recently started to use with an acoustic guitar and it works well also.

DT
T Bone mic
Derek T. 27.05.2013
I have used the T-Bone for a while now , it really is great value for money, not the sound of a good AKG ... but its less than 1/3rd of the price , its also very robust with a good strong clip , so excellent for picking up a range of acoustic instruments.

Good mic for the price!
Joe574 09.03.2014
This microphone is fantastic for the price, audio quality when used for recording is not top notch however can you really complain for the price! Isn't it fantastic!? I have used this microphone on multiple occasions now and there are no signs of wear, the windshield is fiddly to get on and off but that could just be me. I have used this microphone on tenor and alto sax, trombone and trumpet and all four instruments sound superb in a live environment, I have subsequently ordered more for a band I play in, overall I love this product and coupled with the fantastic Thomann service (as always) I could not be happier!

Again, another a value for money product.
Christian C. 9886 17.09.2014
I bought 3 for our brass section and they work well. I can balance them now properly as previously it was problem as each of the players would continually move closer or back from the microphones and I would have trumpets blasting or the trombones disappear into the background.
