Fine until they break, great price for entry level setup.
Anonymous 12.04.2016
Thank goodness Thomann are good at returns and exchanges, as these earbuds became an integral part of my live setup, then both the original set and replacement both generated a fault in one bud (not due to a build up of wax as is the first port-of-call).

If I could afford professionally molded IEM at the moment, I would definitely go for it - the EP4's were part of a 'trial' to see if there was a benefit to this type of live monitoring. The affordability of the IEM package meant I could give it a go. Now I can't ever go back to relying on just wedge monitors, as it's a world of difference, even with an entry level setup like this.

Everyone's ears are different, and I find that one bud pops out throughout the night (using the biggest interchangeable tip). So not ideal, but for the price; really good.

I should say also that although they don't sound incredible, they are a few levels up from the included buds that came with the transmitter/receiver - much clearer and don't get vacuum trapped in your ear canal!

Don't want to sound negative, just trying to give a balanced opinion on these having used them at every gig since the middle of last year. Cheers!

Cheap price, cheap earphones.
Bournwithmusic 29.12.2020
Sound: Absolutely no low-end, a little mid-range if your ears are big enough for the bigger adapters, but mostly just high frequencies (which get worse throughout the show, as the earphones gradually come out of your ears)
Quality: Let's just say I've had them for a year and one side has already stopped working. They come with a special case which I guess would protect them, but it's impossible to get them back in the case.
They are good if you're just starting out and want to discover in-ear monitoring, but I'd put in the price for something better if you're looking for something worth-while.

Get what you pay for

This is my first attempt at in-ear monitoring and so far its a little disappointing. I've found these earphones to be just ok. They don't seem to handle low end as well as I hoped they might and struggle a bit with high volumes. Comfort-wise they are ok, but as they are my first set I don't have a reference point to compare them to anything else. Overall, the jury is still out on these for me

Great value for the price, but be careful.

Great value for the price. Honestly, not bad at all but please be aware. Since they're not fitted for your ears specifically, they tend to wiggle out of your ears just a little bit when you're active on stage. They won't fall out (great!), but that is the dangerous part, because you'll find you might want to turn your IEMs louder and louder. Don't do this. Just put those earphones back in properly.

Good, if you are lucky.
Anonymous 09.04.2015
I ordered 2 pairs of these, one with the old metal cable, that was better made but I had to return the first pair because it crackled. The second pair lasted years until somebody accidentally tore it in half. Then I ordered a second one and it came with a rubber cable. That still sounded excellent but it broke in 2 years because the rubber wore very quickly and it now short circuits. Regarding noise cancelling, it's quite good but as good as an ear plug. Regarding comfort, I can wear these for hours without even noticing, and it doesn't want to fall out of my ears, except when the cables get old and a bit rigid.

Introduction to iem
Shaun W 17.02.2023
These are a great way to dip your toes into in ear monitors to see if they're for you. I purchased two of these, one set failed after about a year of gigging but at this price point that isn't bad going. They were bought so my bandmate and I could try out iems, I personally loved the experience and upgraded to better iems, he didn't and went back to a wedge monitor. These iems are really only suitable for small amounts of guitar/voice, but if that's all you need they're a great entry point to what can be an extremely expensive setup.

not comfortable if you have a small ear canal, due to bulky design.
