This mic has distinct look, and stands out from the box standard cones. It's quite heavy, so it won't break easily. Beside the look, it sounds great as most other mics from the t.bone family (we currently use the MB85 beta, DC1500(drum kit) with pencil mics(EM700) and MB75(which I prefer a lot more than the SM57 on snare and guitar mic). They all have been gigged a lot, and still sound as good as new.
As with any other mic, you will apply some EQ to suit your voice better, so the t.bone sound as good as a much more expensive Shure on live applications.
If you are recording, you should be using condenser, so I'm not mentioning studio application.
Con: As the only way to attach to the stand is by screwing(just like the shure) you can't get it out as you please. If you like to walk around with the mic, just know that you can't put it on the stand, or you have 2 mics (or a wireless one)
