Our band was in need of a couple of spare mics and I needed some having just branched out into recording and mixing. I'd read the reviews on these and thought there was little 'too good to be true' in there. I couldn't have been more wrong.
The sound from these is incredible, really defys there price point. Very clear with a slight peak in the mid-highs. They record exceptionally well.
They perform brilliantly on stage with no more feedback issues than we were getting from any other mic even in the smallest of spaces. Feedback is more often a setup issue than the mic itself anyway.
The build quality also took me by surprise. I was expecting a 'plastic' feel to them, but they are metal, there is some real heftiness to these. They feel like they will last a life time if you look after them. One has already survived 3 drops without a mark or any knock in performance.
The mic holders are nice and strong, but could probably do with being a little more flexible, they are quite stiff.
The carry case was an added bonus! Foam padded and holds all the mics and there holders. It also fits in my gig bag quite nicely!
Marked down 1 star on features due to the lack of a pad switch on the mic, but maybe I'm expecting too much?
I would've been over the moon getting just one of these at this price, but 3? With mic holders and a carry case? Do yourselves a favour and buy some before Thomann realise they're sitting on a gold mine and put the price up.
