It's not suitable for double bass, except on some instruments, where you can put it between the first and second strings, but even when it can be mounted it tends to be too far from the bridge and the body of the instrument, making the mic impossible to use for live situations.
The clamps are too small and wear out after a few uses, especially if you unmount the clip frequently. The rubber quality is poor and fragile.

This clip needs to be wider and stronger to provide a decent fixing for the mic. The slots for the strings need to accommodate larger strings.

A cello clip is NOT a bass clip!

This Cello clip is not ideal for doublebasses, specially on my five string bass since it pinches too tight between two strings or does not reach for the third one...
Also the strings edges are much too small to wrap around my gut strings!
