Decent budget mic
bobobsi 21.10.2020
This microphone is quite good for its price range, with a warm sound if positioned at the optimal angle and distance. It is useful for picking up an upright piano or acoustic guitar, or whenever a large condenser mic isnt an option. It is also small enough to do more experimental sound capturing. May not be sturdy enough for longer uses outside studio, like touring. Sound is decent to good for the price. With distance sound quality weakens. Appropriate for the home studio.

Definitely worth more
Rosco Miller 27.08.2022
I was looking for a new condenser-style microphone for indoor interviews and I came across the SC140 and thought why not I had seen some reviews on it and it was cheap but don't let the price fool you, this mic gives more bang for the buck, I have used other mics that cost significantly more and this little guy blows them out the water when it comes to sound quality I would definitely suggest picking one up or even the double pack as I am definitely going to pick up another one.

T-Bone SCT 140
AndyNuca 16.02.2018
A great design, inspired from an old classic, a recipe for good sound, all in a very affordable package. Thanks Thomann for making quality recording affordable! I use this on acoustic guitar-nylon and steel strings, bass, vocals, jazz snare drum, all kinds of percussion, violin, and its detail and quality never ceases to amaze me. Good options with the switches, a PAD and a HP filter for removing rumble. I don't like the elastic suspension, I prefer a normal mic holder nut. I am using it live in small gigs to amplify acoustic guitars and percussion, even vocals and I received compliments for the sound.

Nice microphone for instruments.
BerkayP 09.11.2021
I've been using it for months and it's a very quiet microphone. The microphone equivalent is very flat and balanced. This is one of the best choices for instruments for its price. I would definitely recommend.
