I have bought one a couple of years ago and used it with my old beatbass replica and I've bought another one recently for my new Höfner beatbass.

The old one fit perfectly, had no issues with it and if I had written a review back then it would've been a perfect 5/5. It has some wear and tear but it held up nicely. I don't have to worry about my instrument while it's in the case.

The new one has a few issues though. It doesn't close as nicely as the first one, I have to apply some force to the locks to make it close. At first I thought the bass was being held firm and snug inside, but after a while I noticed the pickguard is bent. The first case I purchased held it tight, but didn't press hard against the instrument, this one is a bit rough. Although I feel safe my bass won't move around too much, I fear the case might've done some minor damage to it already.

The quality of the product just isn't consistent enough for me to write a good review. I will be buying a Höfner case next time, for a few euro more I won't have to worry about the quality of the product I get.

Having gotten a beatle bass, I had few ways of carrying it while avoiding it getting scratch marks. Another thing is that I have a <300¤ hofner which isn't the most sturdy instrument ever, and even though I did get a bag with it, both also coming from thomann, there's no way I would carry it in that bag for more than a few weeks for the reasons I just wrote down. Looking at hardcases, I found this thomann one. I got to say I am not disappointed, for it is sturdy enough and it keeps my beatle bass tight and placed as correctly as it should be. The price is a bit high in my opinion, but amongst the available hardcases for my bass I think I still got value for my money. I'm thinking of someday moving on to another hardcase, but for someone who is starting out I would say this is a go. It has handle touring so far in these 5 months in which I've had it and it is also not so heavy that it can bother you while carrying it around from place to place by foot. All in all, I believe this is the choice for someone in my position.

BEAT BASS CASE CAN'T BE BEAT.
ROCKIN' ROTHBE 30.07.2020
I purchased the beat bass case for my Harley Benton Beat Bass vintage series bass guitar. It arrived packed in a box. in plastic.
It is a very good looking case. Has the shape of the guitar (violin body), black Tolex type covering, 3 front & one rear snugly closing latches (one lockable w/ 2 guitar shaped keys. Guitar fits nice and snugly in case with no movement. The inside has a plush black padded lining with a cushioned body ramp on the bottom , and bridge to nut padded string cushion. Nice lidded under-neck storage compartment for your" stuff". Seems to be well constructed. It's not a flight case, but it's great for giggin' around and keeping your guitar from getting beat up. It's as good as most of my cases. Maybe not the high dollar ones ,but for the price I don't think you'll find a better one. I will probably buy more Thomann cases, for my other Harley Benton (DC 580) and (HB35 plus) guitars. And I can do it for a third of the price of some of the others. So , if you need a good case, check out The Thomann cases. You can't go wrong with these...

Road Trip !

I live where the temperature and humidity for the most part require a case to keep an instrument safe from the elements.
I purchased this case to simply store the guitar when not in use.
I was expecting something very basic and likely flimsy considering the price and not something to survive in the back of a van for a long cross country tour.
Turns out that this relatively inexpensive case is better than a few more expensive name brand cases I've encountered and about as good as the much more expensive quality name brand cases I have.
I'd trust this case in the back of that van.
Overall I'm impressed and if you have or are planning on purchasing the HB BeatBass I would definitely recommend this case.

BTW, the cat gives her shed-worthy approval and recommends it for naps when the human is making thumpity thump thump noises...

Excellent fitted case for the money!
maninblack 21.05.2017
I bought this case to go with my Hofner Ignition Violin bass, because these instruments have a very distinct shape. The case is well made, with an embossed heavy vinyl covering which has stood up well to a few years of handling. There are 5 over centre catches on the case, so you have to remember the one "Around the Back" when opening it. The hinges are well made and align the lid very well. Inside, there is a lining of long haired black fur material which has ensured that no damage occurs to the instrument, which fits well inside. There is a long opening tab for storage of strings, straps etc, and it is deep enough to house a pedal such as a Behringer graphic equalizer.

When the instrument is in the case, it hangs lever when picked up by the handle. I wish all instrument cases were designed like this.

Epiphone beat bass does not fit well
dom79 29.06.2020
got the Thomann beat bass case today on my hands and im returning it immediately. the reason? i bought it for the Viola Epiphone bass as this case is recomended for this bass from Thomman and in the comments bellow but the Bass just does not fit it. i tried hard to find a way to put it in the case and when i made it i couldn't close the case. the length is ok. the trouble is in the body shape and in the depth. looks UNSUITABLE for Epi Viola. other than that it looks good, well built not so heavy might work for a hofner or harley bentn violin. big con the compartment. so small only picks you can carry. no spare strings, not cable not even a strap.

quick update. i got a scissor and a little knife and cut some of the fabric. the bass finaly fits in. the top of the case closes but still cant close the clasps. the middle one i have to struggle to close it. i dont know if it is an issue with the case i got but it seems the body depth doesnt sits well. i wouldnt't recomend this case for the Epiphone Viola. might work might not. if you wanna be sure get the official epiphone viola case.

I Love It, Yeah,Yeah, Yeah!

I needed a case to store and transport my Hofner Ignition Beatle Bass in, and the price of the official Hofner one was quite dear. Luckily I came across this Thomann made case, and placed an order for it. The case arrived very quickly, with emails informing me of its progress across Germany, to Dover, and then to Essex. The packing was excellent, the guitar case was in its own carton, and this packed inside a bigger outer shipping carton with lots of bubble wrap inside for protection.

The Beat Bass Case is absolutely the perfect size for my Hofner bass, which sits inside it snugly within a cushioned black furry material which lines the case. The case is made of wood, with a black leatherette outer skin, and the catches and handle are securely riveted in place. There is padded internal compartment with room for leads, tuner etc. I could not be more pleased, the bass guitar is safe and sound when inside, and how else could you safely transport such a beautiful guitar? And as another reviewer has mentioned, it looks really funky! If you have a Beatle bass, you need this case!

Got this case as part of a bundle deal. (There wasn't much of a difference in price but I was gonna get a dedicated case for this one anyway.) No issues here, you can buy without second thoughts about it, thanks.

A bit snug
TobeyP 09.07.2021
I ordered this with a Hofner Ignition left handed bass. It was a little tight fitting it in the first time but sits in there nicely. The case does feel a little bit thin. I think it's a good case for cheaper model basses but maybe buy a better case for the higher range basses.
